The portable pipe cutting machine DLW has been developed in cooperation with European Offshore industry. A high metal removal rate, a large adjustment range and easy setup is given with this outperforming cold cut machine. The high working speed and quick readiness for use allow economic manufacture of these machines.
The pipe cold cutter DLW is versatile in machinery applications and can perform many operations. Pipeline cutting with this equipment provides the best solution.
The application range of the pipe cold cutter is from 2 – 48 inch (76 mm - 1219 mm) O.D. and for wall thickness up to 80 mm. The split construction type machines can be mounted on assembled streches of the workpiece. Special equipment like remote control are available for limited access.
The pipe cutting machine is designed in a compact way with aluminium alloy components, which give huge benefits to welder. The machine is very compact for limited access operations and reduced in weight for more ergonomic work.
Intendend use of pipe cold cutting machine:
The DLW pipe cold bevel machine is designed for cutting, beveling and counter boring of piping, pipelines for production and repairs. With a special adapter flange preparations are possible.
The transportable pipe cold bevel machine, type DLW for the preparation of pipes and pipelines, can be nearly used without limitations on site. The machines are extremely lightweight, do not require much space and convince by a simple installation. They distinguish by its numerous machinery application possibilities:

The frame is separable in two ring halves to permit an easy assembly. Located on the frame are the seat of the grooved ball bearing for the rotating head, an adapter for the motor, a protective shield for the gear ring and clamping feet to clamp the machine.
The parting line of the Split Gear and the parting line of the frame has to be aligned before starting the disassembly. The rotating head is designed as a gear ring at its outer diameter and has a locating hole for the tool carriage.
The drive is fixed with the pinion on the frame. The drive and the drive flange with the gear are of rugged design to allow high reaction moments.
Grooved ball bearing:
The rotating head runs on precision grooved ball bearings to reduce the axial and radial tolerance.
The tool carriage has a seat for the working tools. The tool carriage is fixed on the rotating head and implies the feed spindle with gear and adjustable carriage guide block.
The clamping feet are adjusted and fixed by grub screws at the outer diameter of the frame. On request different special clamping feet are available.
